BB Team

BB Team is open for boys and girls aged 8-15. The group meets once a week to practice from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Each shooter works with a partner. The practice involves shooting prone, standing, sitting, and kneeling positions. Each shooter takes ten shots from each position.

This group does compete with other BB Teams from other local clubs.

The shooters are given a gun safety quiz before each practice and competition.

The shooter uses a Daisy 499B rifle provided by the club, or participants may bring  their own rifle.

Outdoor Archery Range and Archery Hunt Report

We’re looking forward to having another safe and productive Archery Hunt on the club grounds again for the 2023/2024 season. This year we have 14 members who have signed up and qualified to hunt, with each hunter having at least five different weeks to hunt in their pre-selected zones. Hunters can hunt on any day that archery hunting is permitted. See dates posted below and at various locations around the club grounds. Hunting will begin every morning at 1/2 hour before sunrise and conclude before the ranges open at 10:00 AM, and Monday & Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 till dark. Please note that all outdoor ranges are closed during these hunting hours; this includes the outdoor firearms ranges, trap area, archery, and crossbow ranges. We had our largest harvest by far last season and are looking forward to having as much success again this year.

Indoor .22 Caliber Pistol League

Registration is only open to current members in good standing.
There are a limited number of spots available.
The League will be for .22-caliber pistols only. The League will use the indoor range at Manheim Sportsman’s Association. The League will shoot on Tuesday evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm and run for six Tuesdays from February 6 thru March 12.
Shooters are assigned to a squad of 8 shooters, the most we can fit on the range at one time. That squad will shoot at a different weekly time between 7 and 9 pm. Shooters will supply their guns, either a revolver or semi-auto, ammo, and eye and hearing protection. The club will provide targets.

Shooters can decide between two classes. “Open” class will be shot one hand, standing, unsupported using standard NRA pistol targets. “Fun” class uses a two-handed grip with a larger bullseye target.
Shooters will shoot two targets per night, 20 rounds per target.
We want this to be an enjoyable, low-pressure league, giving us another excuse to break out the .22 pistols and have a fun evening of target shooting among friends. No trophies will be awarded, only bragging rights.
NRA-certified RSOs will be in charge of and control all shooting activities for the League.
The cost is a one-time $35.00 fee, with no additional weekly charge.

Gun Safety Training

Starting in early 2023 Center Mass Training LLC will now be providing firearms classes
for the Manheim Sportsmen’s Association. We are proud to partner with Manheim Sportsmen’s
Association and look forward to training members and the surrounding community. We offer
focused classes to help beginners become comfortable and confident with firearms. We also
build on basic skills and help shooters become more proficient in a safe training environment.
Center Mass Training LLC was established in 2016 and started training students in 2017.
Working in the retail firearms industry we saw many customers that lacked the basic skills and
knowledge to make informed and safe decisions. We decided to fill that void ourselves. We do
not profess to be Tier One Operators or extremely tactical instructors. We are providing classes
and lessons for the average shooter to learn and have fun.
We will be offering 3 separate classes at Manheim Sportsmen’s Association. Our
Handgun 1 class is our introduction course. We teach baseline skill sets such as safety,
fundamentals and range time in this class. Handgun 2 is a little more advanced. We teach
students to pay attention to their surroundings, and what to expect their body and mind will do
under stress. Handgun 3 touches on unorthodox shooting positions, but mainly focuses on the
importance of getting the handgun out of the holster and addressing a threat. Private or group
lessons are also available for family, friends and work team building. To contact my team please
